My Pet Hermit Crabs

I thought it would be fitting to put in a post about my pet hermit crabs, seeing that this blog is filled of things I love, and I adore my hermies!

I decided to get hermit crabs when I realized that I am too busy to give a dog the proper attention it needs. I seriously want a puppy! Hermit crabs are pretty independent and rather fun as far has non-cuddly animals are concerned.

I bought the hermit crab on the left first, but after about a week I figured out he was depressed. He wouldn’t eat. He wouldn’t come out of his shell or coconut-shell house. He slept all say. It was quite sad.

I figured he was lonely, so I bought him a friend, who I have named “Beast” because he climbs like a beast! Now the two are inseparable. They crawl over each other, play together, and sleep snuggled up next to each other. What a pair!

My only problem is that hermit crab #1 still does not have a name! I originally named him “Boo” because I bought him right before Halloween but now it does not seem to fit. Any suggestions are welcome!
